Crossfit, Just the basics.

Thanksgiving and all of the food left me feeling motivated to get a good but efficient workout in today. There was an open gym at RAW today, but I generally like the flow of classes rather than walking around aimlessly at open gym…so I elected to workout in the garage gym. Here’s what I did:

Back squat – build up to heavy 2 rep
Worked up to 205 lbs

WOD
3 rounds for time:
90 double unders
21 thrusters
Finished in around 14:00

The WOD I did I look from @streetparking on Instagram and was supposed to be way longer:

3 rounds for time:
90 double unders
21 thrusters (65 lbs)
Rest 3:00
3 rounds for time:
60 seconds double unders
15 thrusters (75 lbs)
Rest 3:00
3 rounds for time:
30 seconds double unders
9 thrusters (85 lbs)

I did the first round and felt like I was going to die! So I cut it short and down to just three rounds for time and that did the trick. I finished off with some upright rows.

I was really surprised to be able to hit 205 for a double in my back squat since I haven’t been lifting consistently for 5 months with the marathon. My legs are still getting under me but they’re coming back pretty quickly.

I’m spending the rest of the day just relaxing, catching up on my water intake, using the amazing yet terrible 1-click button on Amazon and snuggling with Goose. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the Holiday weekend!
