So over the past few weeks I’ve obviously made some changes to my health, my fitness, and the content of this blog.
This blog was never intended to fit into any sort of a category. Yes I guess I’m a healthy living blog, and maybe a running blog, and maybe a food blog, but I personally do not believe that my blog fits into one of those categories primarily.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I used to primarily blog about running, but also my life. I have a feeling and I already have notice that I’m going to be blogging a lot more about Crossfit, as well as my life. I’m not going to apologize in advance for the increase in Crossfit posts. This is something new that I have found, that I absolutely love.
I am making these statements for those who continue to read this blog. If you don’t like Crossfit, don’t read my blog. If you think I’m going to get hurt and am doing the wrong thing for my body, don’t read my blog. I know A LOT of people are on the fence about Crossfit, and that’s ok. I’m here to share my journey, my experience, my goals and my workouts for those who are maybe thinking about doing it, and maybe give them a little insight into what really goes on.
I just wanted to put it out there, and be honest with the few people who read this. Everyone changes in their life, it’s inevitable. I just want you all to be informed in advance.

Anywho, enough about that…
Friday I worked again at McCandless but at the sub-base, which doesn’t see nearly as many calls. We had one round trip transport yesterday and that was it.
I came home from work around 3 and relaxed until I mustered enough courage up to go to an actual Crossfit class instead of the Intro to Crossfit classes.
This is straight up Crossfit, with modifications, but overall no change in the workout intensity or time. I apparently picked a great day to come as we did this…
Guys, I almost threw up three times during the burpees. This crap was hard!!!! It was like “welcome to Crossfit, here’s the hardest workout of your life.”
The past two days I have been ridiculously sore. My IT band was acting up yesterday but it’s feeling much better now. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow!
