Merry Christmas to all! I hope your day was filled with love and warmth as you spent time with your families!
Christmas went all too fast this year…I actually think this year went all too fast! September – December was such a blur with the wedding, Thanskgiving, and Christmas. I’m ready for a bit of a slow down, which is exactly what the past few days have been.
My schedule for the past week was this:
Sunday: Work 7 AM – 4 PM
Tuesday (Christmas): Work 12 PM-10PM
Saturday: Work 9 AM-9PM
So being realistic here, I will work 1 day of 6 from Wednesday to Tuesday. Talk about awesome. I love my job.
Yes, I did work Christmas, but I got to spend time with Mike and my amazing family in the morning as well as earn time and a half (hourly rate x 1.5) plus 8 extra hours of PTO. Not too shabby.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, I did my annual Christmas cookie baking…
Some of the fine cookies.
Some more lovlies.
We actually made it a party and had a few close friends come over and help us decorate. We finished them in about 2 hours and they were all fabulous! It was a lot of fun and will definitely be a Christmas tradition!
Me and Lex made our annual Christmas Eve Cookie Dash and delivered the goods to our close friends and family.
About 8 different kinds of cookies, as well as some left over wedding cookies!
So Christmas was again great, but too fast. Christmas music was the one thing that got me out of my sadness and I am really sad to see it go. My parents on the other hand purchased us 4 additional sets of our china, which was great! I got Mike a new watch and he got me a new North Face jacket to wear in the ED’s when it’s cold, which is everyday!

Also recently, I chopped all of my hair off, which you may have seen on instagram.
So weird to shower with.
I wanted something different and I definitely got it. I love it because it generally just flows without too much work. It’s barely long enough to put in a pony tail, but that didn’t bother me on my run today. It will grow out soon!
And we can’t include some photos of the Goose man!
What a big baby.
Sitting with Aunt Lexi
How the old man is currently sleeping while I post this…how can that be comfortable?!

On another note, I ran 3.5 miles this morning (trying to get my butt back into running shape) and did a Body Rock workout, which left me almost in tears after. Those suckers are hard!
So for the past 2 days that I’ve had off, I’ve just relaxed, did a little cleaning, and watched a lot of SVU episodes.
I’ve also done a good deal of researching for vacation homes. About 10 of my good friends are planning a friends vacation to either Virginia Beach area, Outer Banks, or Myrtle Beach. It’s been tough finding pet friendly houses, not only for Goose but also for Luna…
Kevin and Luna
Luna is a German Short Haired Pointer and Goose’s future wife. They are distant cousins (in breed terms) and actually have a little bit of each other in them. So both of them will be traveling with us on vacation!
I’ve actually made some head way with places, now we just really need to decide. But I am really excited!
Also, in February, a small group of friends is headed to Mont Tremblant in Quebec for a ski trip for 5 days! I can’t wait and am super pumped!

But that’s enough for today. Got you caught up a bit. I’m going to enjoy the rest of my day with my snuggly puppy…who by the way, ate two King Cup Reese’s yesterday. He’s still kickin!
