Just the basics.

New House Business

So before my little blogging hiatus, Mike and I had been approved for a loan on our house. Well everything went exactly how it should and we closed on our new house on February 29, 2012.

It’s been almost three weeks since the closing and so far we’ve managed to clean everything from top to bottom, order some new furniture for our living room, and have our carpets cleaned. This weekend we should be moving my bed over and be pretty much moved in starting next week.

I thought I’d share some pictures of the inside of the bottom floor of our house! It’s such an exciting thing!

Maybe I should have done some cleaning before taking pictures. Winking smile Our new kitchen.

Our new family room. Complete with a broken chair (yes I did that), our tiny TV, and my laundry.

Sorry, no furniture yet. Sad smile

The “den” and powder room when you first walk in the house.

So far things have been going pretty well with the house and the bills are slowly starting to roll in. I’m so excited to move in, hopefully next week, and continue to show you guys updated photos when we start adding stuff!

It’s so nice to have the house of our dreams and enjoy our hard work!

Today we’re off to possibly buy a new lawnmower and a new kitchen table since I broke the one chair that we currently have. In my defense, that chair was broken already and wasn’t going to handle anyone’s weight for long! Winking smile

  1. Congratulations on your new home :). I know it’s still a work in progress, but it’s neat that you have one and looks like it’ll be fun to fix up, shop for, and move into :).

    Have a good weekend!
